Today, Neiman Marcus unveiled the 2019 Christmas Book, a curated selection of nearly 800 extraordinary holiday gifts for everyone on the customers’ wish lists. Included in the Christmas Book are the legendary Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts, which celebrate their 60th anniversary and were unveiled last night at an event in Neiman Marcus at Hudson Yards.

The 2019 Fantasy Gifts will delight customers this holiday season through a series of videos starring award-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan. “Rachel perfectly brings our Fantasy Gifts to life and truly reveals them in a magical way to our customers,” said Todorovich. The series, which will be promoted through Neiman Marcus’ social channels, introduces each gift in a whimsical way that evokes the feeling of holiday nostalgia. Fusing the worlds of fashion, art, and commerce, “Norell x Parsons” challenges students to interpret the Norell brand heritage through a contemporary couture approach, practice, and development over the course of one semester. Students will design and create a piece based on Norell’s classic designs, while also learning the necessary skills to creatively lead a fashion house in the current fashion industry.

The Parsons School of Design, founded in 1896, is one of the leading institutions for art and design education in the world. Based in New York but active around the world, the school offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the full spectrum of art and design disciplines, as well as online courses, degree, and certificate programs. The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) will bring its popular Super Saturday shopping event to the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian & The Palazzo, and Fashion Show Las Vegas with unique spin. Hosted by Designer, Stylist, Editor and Author Rachel Zoe and husband and business partner Rodger Berman, the annual event, which New York Newsday called the ‘hottest summer event in the Hamptons,’ will launch in Vegas Sept. 19- 20, 2015.

OCRF’s Super Saturday designer shopping extravaganza, was created in 1998 by Donna Karan and the late Liz Tilberis (the late Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar US, who has since died from the disease). Neiman Marcus Group Announces Organizational Changes

The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. announced a series of organizational changes today merging the merchandising and planning organization for Neiman Marcus Stores and Neiman Marcus Online into a single team operating under the Neiman Marcus brand.  These changes will go into effect on April 14th.

The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. operations include the Specialty Retail Stores segment (consisting primarily of Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores) and the Online segment. . The Online segment conducts direct to consumer operations under the Neiman Marcus, Horchow, Last Call and Bergdorf Goodman brand names.

Jim Gold has been named President, Chief Merchandising Officer, Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Group and will lead an integrated merchant and planning team for Neiman Marcus Stores and Online. Mr. Gold joined the company in 1991.  Prior to his current position, Mr. Gold served as President of Specialty Retail, Neiman Marcus Group.

Sjödin was raised in the suburbs of Stockholm and spent his first 10 years working as an art director on ad campaigns for international fashion companies. “During that time, I got to work with all the important photographers, the most important being [Richard] Avedon,” he says. “Working with him, I realized, Wow, there is an even better job in this industry than art director and that is being a photographer! The energy and passion he had, even at 75, was like a child. I wanted to be like that.”

The award, instituted in 1938 by Stanley Marcus, was developed to bring emerging designers from Europe and America into public awareness. The award is given to those who have made a distinctive contribution to the world of fashion by designing, promoting, or wearing fashion in a way that influences the public.

More than 100 luminaries have received the award since its inception. Past honorees include Coco Chanel, Princess Grace of Monaco, Estee Lauder, Bill Blass, Greer Garson, Oscar de la Renta, Giorgio Armani and Richard Avedon. Stanley Marcus received the Award at the Neiman Marcus gala celebrating his ninetieth birthday in 1995. Mr. Lagerfeld won the award in 1980 and is the first recipient to win the award twice.

The award was designed by celebrated American sculptor William King. The bronze sculpture symbolizes the unfettered spirit of freedom so essential to the fashion creator.

Every Neiman Marcus associate has a smart phone loaded with apps to help them stay in touch with customers about alterations, merchandise delivery and new items of interest.  In addition, iPads are being used in selected departments in all stores to give customers access to online inventory as well as what is currently available in store.

Online, customers can keep beauty basics and other essentials on hand with the Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman replenishment service. Items will be automatically shipped to customers at the interval she selects. While shopping online, a customer can use the convenient “Find In Store” button that locates an item in a store within a certain specified radius.

The Bergdorf Goodman website recently underwent a full redesign to reflect the editorial feel of their quarterly magazines and further facilitate the customer’s luxury shopping experience.

Some of the most promising musicians in the industry are leaving the comfort of their tour buses to rock an outdoor stage this fall. ZZ Ward and Wild Belle are joining Neiman Marcus in a first of its kind CUSP Music Experience on September 25th.  Their high-wattage performances in Miami and Dallas will officially kick-off The CUSP Event, held at Neiman Marcus stores nationwide from September 26-29.

Throughout September, Neiman Marcus will be celebrating the independent spirit of ZZ Ward and Natalie Bergman of Wild Belle as well as the soulful presence of Noelle Scaggs of Fitz and The Tantrums.  Renowned photographer Peggy Sirota teamed up with Neiman Marcus to create an advertising campaign inspired by the unique style and independent spirit of these musicians.  Each of the musicians was used as a model for the campaign that features looks from fashion designers Vince, Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, Helmut Lang, Joie, Haute Hippie, McQ by Alexander McQueen, Robert Rodriguez, and others. Neiman Marcus Announces The Launch Of “the blog”

Neiman Marcus has announced a newly redesigned blog entitled, the blog ( www.blog.neimanmarcus.com), replacing the brand’s existing blog, NMdaily.

The blog upgrade was in response to shifts in the social media landscape.  Designed to showcase rich visual content, the blog offers options for full-screen viewing.  In addition, commenting is enabled and content can easily be shared via today’s most relevant social networks.  Updates from Neiman Marcus’ photo-centric social accounts including Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr and Pinterest will be displayed on the blog.  The new blog is more conducive to shopping, featuring editors picks and reviews with convenient links to e-commerce.

The editorial focus of the blog is style inspiration and the lifestyles of fashion insiders.  The editorial team, led by Jean Scheidnes, will continue many of the signature features including:

  • Conversation With (designer interview)
  • Ten Things (curated list of recommendations by a designer or fashion influencer)
  • Happy Hour (weekly cocktail created by the NM mixologist)
  • Out of Office (travelogue)
  • On Set (behind the scenes of a fashion shoot with top industry talent)

  • Fashion Week coverage

A number of new editorial features have been introduced, including:

  • Inspired (homage to a celebrity or fashion influencer’s look)
  • NM Weddings (real weddings of NM brides)

  • The title, the blog, expresses the blog’s ties to Neiman Marcus’ iconic magalog, the book.
