In a first for the brand, Michael Kors has announced its partnership with the 007 film franchise. To celebrate the release of the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, Michael Kors will be debuting a limited-edition capsule collection featuring the coveted Michael Kors Collection Bancroft satchel. The three-piece capsule will be available to shop in select Michael Kors stores around the world, on MichaelKors.com and on the franchise’s official online store, 007Store.com, starting late March.
MKC x 007 Bond Capsule Collection
Crafted in Italy and created exclusively for No Time To Die, the MKC x 007 Bond Bancroft satchel, Bond Carryall and Bond Duffel all channel the sophistication that is synonymous with the James Bond films. The Bond Bancroft satchel, crafted in luxe calf leather, exudes everyday elegance with its refined silhouette and roomy interior. A polished MKC x 007 plaque on the interior lining highlights the special collaboration. In the film, the satchel is seen on pivotal character Moneypenny, played by British actress Naomie Harris, a BAFTA and Academy Award nominee. Rounding out the capsule collection, the Bond Carryall, rendered in calf leather, and Bond Duffel, in luggage-hued cotton canvas, were designed for traveling in style, and feature an exclusive MKC x 007 leather luggage tag.
“Jet set glamour, sophistication, speed, energy—these are all words that come to mind when you think about the world of James Bond,” says designer Michael Kors. “They’re also at the core of our brand DNA. This collaboration was really the perfect union of fashion and film.”
To celebrate the launch of No Time To Die and the unveiling of the MKC x 007 Bond Capsule Collection, Michael Kors will host a star-studded VIP party at its new Milan showroom, followed by a private dinner, during Milan Fashion Week in February.

OCRF’s Super Saturday designer shopping extravaganza, was created in 1998 by Donna Karan and the late Liz Tilberis (the late Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar US, who has since died from the disease). Super Saturday Los Angeles launched in 2014, and is hosted by Rachel Zoe and Molly Sims. In 2014, at both Super Saturday Los Angeles and New York, more than 2,000 people attended the eventsand raised over $ 4.1 million with net proceeds going directly to OCRF and its programs. Special guests included celebrities, influencers, designers, media, supporters and their families, and fashion lovers. The Hamptons event has been hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan while the LA event was hosted by Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman, Molly Sims and Scott Stuber.
The exclusive Las Vegas weekend will showcase an assortment of special retail incentives from luxury brands including Michael Kors, Tory Burch, DVF, Fendi, Robert Graham, Melissa Shoes, Ted Baker London, Topshop, Links of London and Island Company to name a few. Most participating retailers will donate a percentage of weekend sales to OCRF.
A force within the fashion and design industry for nearly two decades, Zoe has been heralded as one of the most influential forces working in fashion today. In addition to dressing clients for a bevy of red carpet events, styling countless editorial spreads, and lending her vast expertise to brands, Zoe has authored two New York Times best-selling books, and is the Editor in Chief of The Zoe Report, her online style destination and newsletter. As a designer, Zoe makes her exceptional taste and expertise accessible to the fashion savvy with Rachel Zoe Collection, comprised of ready-to-wear, footwear and jewelry lines. Zoe will soon return to television as the host of her own late night talk show, Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe, which will debut September 24th on Lifetime. Attendees can also meet Rachel Zoe when she signs copies of her newest book Living in Style.
The two-day extravaganza will feature a VIP brunch at Barneys New York, a Pucker Up Bar, Canyon Ranch SpaClub pop-up spa, a Pepsi Lounge, and Sephora makeup touch-ups. “We are thrilled to bring OCRF’s Super Saturday to the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, The Palazzo and Fashion Show Las Vegas. Their support of OCRF’s research programs will further propel us in our fight to find a cure for ovarian cancer,” says Audra Moran, president & CEO, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the oldest and largest charity in the United States funding ovarian cancer research that leads to more effective identification, treatment, and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer, as well as related educational and support initiatives. Each year there will be approximately 22,000 new cases of ovarian cancer in the United States, and nearly 15,500 women will die of the disease. Currently there is no effective means of early detection.
“Vegas is the ultimate fashion destination. It’s the only place in the world where you can shop every top designer and brand in one central location,” says Janet LaFevre, senior marketing manager, Grand Canal Shoppes and Fashion Show. “Being able to bring Super Saturdayto Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, The Palazzo and Fashion Show gives our guests a chance to enjoy incredible shopping, dining, and entertainment all while contributing to a significant cause. We are elated to announce this partnership and first-ever Vegas location.”
Since 1998, OCRF has awarded over $65 million to ovarian cancer researchers around the country. OCRF-sponsored investigators are developing innovative strategies for early detection; exploring the genetics that increase risk for ovarian cancer; understanding the underlying molecular biology of the disease; identifying new and better targets for treatment; and deciphering how and why ovarian cancer spreads, and how to stop it. OCRF also supports a national program, Woman to Woman, which in 2015 will be providing support through more than 20 hospitals around the country to women in treatment for any gynecologic cancer, as well as their families, by pairing them with survivor volunteers who offer one-on-one emotional support and mentoring. Macy’s offers fashion from America’s favorite brands, early summer events and a partnership with Got Your 6 in support of America’s veterans
From May 13 to July 4, share photos using #AmericanSelfie for a chance to be included in the national broadcast of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks®
Macy’s announces the return of “American Icons,” launching this week in celebration of America‘s Independence Day (July 4th) and the American landscape, the people, places and things that make this country great. The campaign will kick off with #AmericanSelfie, a social media initiative inspiring customers to share photos of what America means to them, as well as fashions from celebrated designers and icons, in-store events and a special program in support of America’s veterans.
“American Icons is a meaningful program that offers Macy’s a chance to connect with our customers in celebration of our great country,” said Martine Reardon, Macy’s chief marketing officer. “With #AmericanSelfie, they can show us why they love America while supporting Got Your 6, a nonprofit organization that serves to empower veterans and strengthen communities. We are also rolling out the latest fashion from the country’s most beloved brands and hosting fun summertime events to make this year’s tribute to America more special than ever.”
From now to July 4, Macy’s is inviting customers to use #AmericanSelfie to share their favorite “selfie” photos that capture the faces, places and things they love on Instagram and Twitter, to show people nationwide what they enjoy most about this country. In support of America’s military veterans, with each use of #AmericanSelfie, Macy’s will donate $1, up to $250,000, to Got Your 6, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping our returning service members make America stronger. Plus, #AmericanSelfie will be part of Macy’s annual 4th of July Fireworks show, the nation’s largest Independence Day display telecast nationally on NBC.
Got Your 6 is a campaign that unites nonprofit, Hollywood, and government partners and believes that veterans are leaders, team builders, and problem solvers who have the unique potential to strengthen communities across the country. As a coalition, Got Your 6 works to integrate these perspectives into popular culture, engage veterans and civilians together to foster understanding, and empower veterans to lead in their communities. The organization also knows that most veterans leave the military seeking new challenges, and the campaign ensures that there are opportunities for them to continue their service.
In the military, “Got your six” means “I’ve got your back.” The saying originated with World War I fighter pilots referencing a pilot’s rear as the six o’clock position. It is now a ubiquitous term in the military that highlights the loyalty and cooperation found in military culture. The Got Your 6 campaign chose this term, because it is emblematic of the many skills that veterans bring back into their communities when they return home.
Through entertainment industry partners, Got Your 6 works to normalize the depictions of veterans on film and television to dispel common myths about the veteran population. Through nonprofit and government partners, Got Your 6 likewise ensures successful veteran reintegration and empowers veterans to lead here at home. Together, Got Your 6 and its partners are shifting public perceptions so that veterans’ leadership and skills are recognized and utilized at home to strengthen communities.
Each year, around a quarter-million service members exit the military and re-enter civilian life. It is essential that Americans see the potential for veterans to strengthen our communities. Got Your 6 works to ensure that veterans return home to be seen as leaders and civic assets. For the past decade, our country has framed “veteran reintegration” as a major societal problem or struggle. On the contrary, Got Your 6 believes that it is crucial for Americans to see veteran reintegration as an opportunity, because veterans are uniquely suited to solve some of our nation’s most difficult challenges.
The average American has little first-hand connection to the military and often believes that, in general, veterans are much more likely than civilians to experience unemployment, substance abuse, homelessness, and various other issues. These notions are largely misconceptions. They paint a picture of veterans as “broken.” As a result, veterans often say they feel more pity than respect from the civilian population. When veterans fail to successfully reintegrate back into American society, it is often because their communities do not expect them to succeed or excel. Got Your 6 believes that if the country does not call upon returning veterans, then we will miss out on a generation of leaders.
Macy’s is continuing its partnership with Got Your 6 to help empower military veterans and families to make America stronger. In addition to the contribution made through the #AmericanSelfie initiative, Macy’s will host “Got Your 6 Saturday” on May 16, when customers can give $3 at any register and receive a savings pass, with 100 percent of the purchase price donated to Got Your 6. With this pass, shoppers will receive a 25 percent discount all day on purchases, exclusions and restrictions apply. Beyond “Got Your 6 Saturday,” Macy’s shoppers can still support America’s veterans from May 17 through May 25 by giving $3 for a 15 percent/20 percent discount savings pass to drive additional donations to Got Your 6 and its nonprofit partners.

Neiman Marcus announces the Spring 2015 Art of Fashion Campaign with photographers Luigi Murenu and iango Henzi. Luigi & iango capture the Scottish model Stella Tennant in 28 of spring’s boldest looks. The simplicity of the set lets the dramatic clothes, the sinuous Tennant, and the lensmen’s superb lighting—a single giant lamp typically reserved for film sets—work their magic.

“The lights are strong and continuous. Brutal,” attests Murenu, one half of the New York–based team. “But Stella is very artistic, her body expressive.” Over the three-day shoot, Murenu and Henzi switch roles organically, pivoting between art-directing compositions and stepping behind the camera. “We’re completely integrated to one idea even if it has two voices,” Murenu explains.
The Swiss-born Henzi brings the precision of fine art, while Murenu, raised in Sardinia, radiates with the excitement of fashion. Together, they create images that compel—and endure—with a streetwise elegance.
“The Spring 2015 Art of Fashion campaign is about classic, iconic fashion photography and bringing together three amazing creative forces: Luigi, iango and Stella Tennant,” said Georgia Christensen, Neiman Marcus Executive Creative Director. “It was wonderful to see Luigi and iango work together and experience their creative process. Two minds. Two points of view that came together seamlessly into one portfolio of images. A true collaboration of passionate artists devoted to the industry. Stella is a dream, I often found myself mesmerized by her on set. The result is extraordinary imagery.”
Designer merchandise featured in the Spring 2015 campaign includes: Akris, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Burberry Prorsum, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Chloe, Christian Louboutin, Cucinelli, Derek Lam, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Erdem, Gucci, Lanvin, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Roger Vivier, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, The Row, Tom Ford, and Valentino.
Since 1994, each spring and fall, the world’s most visionary photographers have carried the torch and given The Art of Fashion their own signature. Past photographers have included: Richard Avedon, Geof Kern, Peggy Sirota, Ruven Afandador, Diego Uchitel, Peter Lindbergh, Arthur Elgort, Camilla Akrans, Raymond Meier, Erik Madigan Heck, and Walter Chin. The campaign will be featured in our publication “the Book” as well as Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Vanity Fair.

A state-of-the-art and sophisticated shopping experience awaits shoppers as Macy’s Herald Square unveils a striking new look for its signature world of beauty and fragrances today. The long-awaited reveal has been months in the making, culminating with the most dramatic makeover of a beauty department in modern retail history. Located in the heart of the store and at the crossroads of the Main Aisle and the newly opened Memorial Door Entrance off of 34th Street, the new Cosmetics and Fragrances department at Macy’s Herald Square is the crowning moment of the extensive Main Floor renovation begun last year. Redesigned with new architectural accents and structural elements, two sets of sweeping marble staircases along both the 34th and 35th Street sides of the store frame the stunning new department and create a spectacular arena for shopping. For the first time, show windows along 34th Street have been opened to provide vistas from the street into the store. Passersby can now experience the energy and excitement of the city’s most popular beauty destination as they travel along the bustling thoroughfare.

Michael Kors (Women’) 2013 Fall/Winter Collection
Michael Kors 2013 (Men’s) Fall/Winter Collection
For Spring/Summer 2013, Michael Kors looked to the California desert, resulting in a winning collection and a masterful ad campaign. For Fall/Winner 2013, it was all about the “Bright Lights, Fast City….Urban athleticism meets uptown polish…An attitude based on speed, edurance and glamour” and yes, it was yet another winning collection from the modern master of American sportswear. What’s not to love about electrifying colors (neon orange, taxicab yellow and royal blue) merged with bonded cotton, parachute fabric, rubberized cotton and cashgore (a blend of cashmere and angora) setting the tone with edgy, pulsating energy? Add the sumptuous camouflage mink stoles (and killer olive/black camo mink coat) and dogstooth check print pieces and what you have is an ode to urban city living that Kors does so very well. As always, his coats, jackets and other outerwear pieces are outstanding.
Inspired by the glam style of California, MICHAEL KORS once again chose MARIO TESTINO (who has now shot the label’s campaigns for ten years now) to capture KARMEN PEDARU and SIMON NESSMAN in ultra-glossy images. “We wanted the campaign to highlight the crisp, graphic feel of the Spring collection in bold California colors,” says designer Michael Kors. The handsome couple goes from luxury car to private jet in the bold colors and streamlined silhouettes of spring. Bravo, Michael.
MICHAEL KORS has announced its exclusive, long-term partnership with the UNITED NATIONS WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME, dedicated to helping solve the international hunger crisis, a cause that is the cornerstone of Kors’ philanthropic platform.

MICHAEL KORS has always been a designer (and an under-appreciated clothing retailer) with his feet firmly planted on the ground. His head is always thinking of the reality of the here and now. From the very beginning of his career, Mr. Kors has always been one—with the exception of a few unforgettable collections, “Palm Bitch”, anyone—to keep his flights of fancy clearly in check. He’s inspired, through meeting his devoted customers at his very successful trunks shows around the country, to design for the “real” customers he has, not for imaginary women who exists only in the clouds. So, as his career has progressed, he has become one of the top go-to designers for women who desires creativity, smart design and a sense of comfort (and sense of self) all rolled in one when they dress to face the world, either on the job, at lunch with friends and/or on the charity ball circuit.
