evian® And Designer Alexander Wang Release 2016 Limited Edition Bottle

Today, evian and New York-based fashion designer Alexander Wang unveil the 2016 evian Limited Edition bottle. Wang’s design features his signature bar code logo on two contrasting bottles, one black and one white. The purity of evian water is emphasized through clean graphics and highlighted by the play of the lines on the bottles. The 2016 evian x Alexander Wang Limited Edition Bottle will be available in 75cl glass bottles at evian.com and retailers worldwide beginning November 2015.
Since 2008, evian has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious designers to create a limited edition bottle. Through the creative vision of artists such as Diane von Furstenberg, Paul Smith, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab and KENZO, each collaboration is a renewed celebration of purity and playfulness and a reinterpretation of evian’s spirit through art and design.

Wang applies the barcode logo in different ways and throughout different collections and seasons. Inspired by the unique purity of evian water, Wang put it into new context on its iconic glass bottle. The design is clean, simple and, at the same time, interacts with the dynamic reflections of water as a natural element.
In my approach to design, I have always had an un-precious outlook, focusing on the pieces that people wear every day, then tweaking them and elevating them to give a distinct point of view,” said Wang.  “evian water is something that is truly ‘every day’ yet precious by design. We used linear and strong graphics to give the brand’s iconic bottle our sensibility, and to create a new take on it.”
The architectural and minimalistic approach Alexander Wang brings to his creations really caught our attention,” said Olga Osminkina-Jones, Vice President of Marketing for Danone Waters of America. “His creations are iconic yet extremely inclusive and relevant today, pure interpretation of the modern audience values. The black and white color contrast, that Alexander Wang chose, makes a statement about evian purity in a very contemporary way.”

Rachel Zoe And Rodger Berman To Host OCRF’s First-Ever Super Saturday Event In Las Vegas

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s Luxury Shopping Event to be held at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian & The Palazzo and Fashion Show, Sept. 19-20

The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) will bring its popular Super Saturday shopping event to the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian & The Palazzo, and Fashion Show Las Vegas with unique spin. Hosted by Designer, Stylist, Editor and Author Rachel Zoe and husband and business partner Rodger Berman, the annual event, which New York Newsday called the ‘hottest summer event in the Hamptons,’ will launch in Vegas Sept. 19- 20, 2015.

OCRF’s Super Saturday designer shopping extravaganza, was created in 1998 by Donna Karan and the late Liz Tilberis (the late Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar US, who has since died from the disease). Super Saturday Los Angeles launched in 2014, and is hosted by Rachel Zoe and Molly Sims. In 2014, at both Super Saturday Los Angeles and New York, more than 2,000 people attended the events and raised over $ 4.1 million with net proceeds going directly to OCRF and its programs. Special guests included celebrities, influencers, designers, media, supporters and their families, and fashion lovers. The Hamptons event has been hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan while the LA event was hosted by Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman, Molly Sims and Scott Stuber.

The exclusive Las Vegas weekend will showcase an assortment of special retail incentives from luxury brands including Michael Kors, Tory Burch, DVF, Fendi, Robert Graham, Melissa Shoes, Ted Baker London, Topshop, Links of London and Island Company to name a few. Most participating retailers will donate a percentage of weekend sales to OCRF.

A force within the fashion and design industry for nearly two decades, Zoe has been heralded as one of the most influential forces working in fashion today. In addition to dressing clients for a bevy of red carpet events, styling countless editorial spreads, and lending her vast expertise to brands, Zoe has authored two New York Times best-selling books, and is the Editor in Chief of The Zoe Report, her online style destination and newsletter. As a designer, Zoe makes her exceptional taste and expertise accessible to the fashion savvy with Rachel Zoe Collection, comprised of ready-to-wear, footwear and jewelry lines. Zoe will soon return to television as the host of her own late night talk show, Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe, which will debut September 24th on Lifetime. Attendees can also meet Rachel Zoe when she signs copies of her newest book Living in Style.

The two-day extravaganza will feature a VIP brunch at Barneys New York, a Pucker Up Bar, Canyon Ranch SpaClub pop-up spa, a Pepsi Lounge, and Sephora makeup touch-ups.  A signature gift with purchase — two complimentary show tickets to Rock of Ages — will be available for those who spend $750 (restrictions apply – see official event guide for complete details).
Fashion Show will also highlight not-to-be-missed runway shows on the center’s elevated stage, featuring Saks Fifth Avenue and top seasonal must-haves.

We are thrilled to bring OCRF’s Super Saturday to the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, The Palazzo and Fashion Show Las Vegas. Their support of OCRF’s research programs will further propel us in our fight to find a cure for ovarian cancer,” says Audra Moran, president & CEO, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the oldest and largest charity in the United States funding ovarian cancer research that leads to more effective identification, treatment, and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer, as well as related educational and support initiatives. Each year there will be approximately 22,000 new cases of ovarian cancer in the United States, and nearly 15,500 women will die of the disease. Currently there is no effective means of early detection.

“Vegas is the ultimate fashion destination. It’s the only place in the world where you can shop every top designer and brand in one central location,” says Janet LaFevre, senior marketing manager, Grand Canal Shoppes and Fashion Show. “Being able to bring Super Saturday to Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, The Palazzo and Fashion Show gives our guests a chance to enjoy incredible shopping, dining, and entertainment all while contributing to a significant cause. We are elated to announce this partnership and first-ever Vegas location.”

Since 1998, OCRF has awarded over $65 million to ovarian cancer researchers around the country. OCRF-sponsored investigators are developing innovative strategies for early detection; exploring the genetics that increase risk for ovarian cancer; understanding the underlying molecular biology of the disease; identifying new and better targets for treatment; and deciphering how and why ovarian cancer spreads, and how to stop it. OCRF also supports a national program, Woman to Woman, which in 2015 will be providing support through more than 20 hospitals around the country to women in treatment for any gynecologic cancer, as well as their families, by pairing them with survivor volunteers who offer one-on-one emotional support and mentoring. since partnered with the world’s most esteemed designers, including Issey Miyake, Paul Smith, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix and Courreges, Diane von Furstenberg, and now Elie Saab.  From bold and innovative designs to international fashion designer collaborations, each Limited Edition bottle design celebrates the perfectly pure water inside, evian Natural Spring Water, and maintains the evian Live young spirit: “Youth is not a matter of age, it is an attitude“.

(This year, the two brands unite with the common theme of purity. The bottle is decorated with a signature Elie SAAB lace pattern, which recalls the feminine and elegant designs featured so prominently in the brand’s collections. The delicate white lace has been applied with architectural accuracy, bringing added refinement to the clean lines of the bottles silhouette. The final creations symbolize the immaculate craftsmanship, and mutual sophistication that both Elie SAAB and evian are renowned for.

evian water starts as snow and rain on the peaks of the pristine French Alps. Protected deep in the heart of the mountains, each drop filters through layers of mineral-rich glacial sands for over 15 years. Pure as nature intended, the water springs from the source in Evian-Les-Bains where it’s been bottled since 1826.

The 2014 Limited Edition bottle by ELIE SAAB will be available for purchase at www.shop.evian.us, and at select restaurants and hotels, including Sofitel Luxury Hotels nationwide beginning October 2013.

Ovation and Conde Nast Entertainment Announce “The Fashion Fund”

New Television Series Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of The Fashion Fund Premieres December 2013

Yesterday in Los Angeles, Ovation and Conde Nast Entertainment announced “The Fashion Fund,” a television fashion series. The series documents the excitement of emerging fashion designers vying for the chance to be named the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner. “The Fashion Fund” premieres this December, only on Ovation.  “The Fashion Fund” series is an unprecedented look at a level of support, encouragement and insight that few other designers will ever

receive.

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is in its 10th year and has transformed emerging designers into true fashion icons, like inaugural winners Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler and recent winners such as Joseph Altuzurra (2011) and Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman (2012).

Over the past ten years, The Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund has given significant financial and professional support to 27 brands. This year’s ten finalists—announced by new selection committee members Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of Rag & Bone at their studio in early summer—stands out for having more menswear designers/finalists than in recent history, as well as a few names that will be unfamiliar to many outside the industry. Over the next four months, this group, in addition to running their businesses as usual, will create one-of-a-kind pieces for Uniqlo, stage a runway show at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, which all leads up to the big announcement of the winner and runner-ups on November 11. The 2013 finalists are Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School, Jason Jones and Mike Feldman of Parabellum, Juan Carlos Obando, Marc Alary, Misha Nonoo of Nonoo, Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin of TOME, Shimon Ovadia and Ariel Ovadia of Ovadia & Sons, Tim Coppens, Todd Snyder and Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard of Veronica Beard

This is the real deal.  There have been a lot of fashion competition series on television, but nothing comes close to matching the authenticity and talent found in ‘The Fashion Fund’,” said Robert Weiss, Ovation’s Chief Creative Officer.  “It’s truly an honor to be working with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.”

Working alongside some of the top names in fashion, ten innovative, American-based designers, compete for the top cvff-logo_sizedaward that carries an incredible $300,000 grant and a one-year mentorship with an industry titan. The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund selection committee is comprised of iconic names from Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour and CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg to top-level executives such as Ken Downing of Neiman Marcus, Andrew Rosen of Theory, Jenna Lyons of J.Crew, and others.

Conde Nast Entertainment (CNE) is a division of Conde Nast recently created to focus on the development, production and distribution of original television, feature film and digital video offerings based on the company’s iconic media brands and the articles/work products they have generated such as Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, which originated from an article written by Nancy Jo Sales for Vanity Fair.

“‘The Fashion Fund’ will captivate audiences, documenting the rise of the next generation of designers as they gain immeasurable insight from the industry’s foremost talent,” said Dawn Ostroff, President, Conde Nast Entertainment. “Ovation is a perfect home for the series and we look forward to giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look.

Watching “The Fashion Fund,” viewers are given exclusive glimpses into the fashion world as they journey into the lives of the emerging designers. They will get to know the designers as their visions, technical abilities, and business acumen are all tested – pushing them to their highest potential. The series takes viewers inside legendary studio visits, a Vogue fashion photo shoot and culminates with a presentation at NYC Fashion Week and the announcement of the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner.
