This past Wednesday, September 9, 2015, leading legwear brand,HUE launched its collaboration with Timo Weiland as part of their Global Design Discovery Program. To celebrate, both brands hosted a party at Lightbox to kickoff New York Fashion Week.

In 1978 HUE was launched when two New York City artists dyed Chinese slippers in fabulous colors and the fashion world went wild. The HUE Global Design Discovery Program aims to introduce new up and coming fashion designers, giving HUE‘s customers the opportunity to discover new talent. For Fall 2015 inaugural season, the program features designers New York City-based Timo Weiland and Shanghai-based Helen Lee and gives consumers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their inspiration, creative process and final product through sketches, videos and photos on social media.

Timo Weiland for HUE is a luxurious capsule collection of cashmere blend track pants, sweater tights, socks and skirts. The line is available in a palette of beautiful neutrals including oatmeal, graphite and black and will be released for Fall/Winter 2015 season as part of HUE’s Global Design Discovery Program. The Timo Weiland for HUE Global Design Discovery Program is available at better department stores and on HUE.com.

The event also premiered the #Timo4HUE fashion (see video above) film that HUE and Timo created about the collection. The film, directed by Shal Ngo, follows a day in the life of NYC IT-girl Tracy Antonopoulos. In addition, the event featured a special performance by Tracy’s band, Cable and music by Mia Moretti and Equal.

Models clad in Timo Weiland for HUE legwear, completed their looks with Ready-To-Wear pieces from the Timo Weiland Fall/Winter 2015 Collection and shoes from Dr. Martens. Finishing touches included hair by David Cruz for Cutler/Redken, makeup by Cassandra Garcia for Bobbi Brown and nails by Sugarloom Cosmetics.barista_xlg
