UNIQLO announces today that it will launch replica game wear worn at the 2016 U.S. Open Tennis Championships by its Global Brand Ambassadors, Novak Djokovic, the world’s top-ranked professional tennis player, and Kei Nishikori, the top men’s singles player in Asia*. A total of 13 items nearly identical in functionality and design to those worn by the players will be available from Aug. 25 (Thursday).

Djokovic model: The design theme for the 2016 Novak Djokovic model wear is “Unbeatable,” reflecting his image in tournaments around the world. Carrying bag Used by Athletes Now Available: In response to popular demand, UNIQLO will now offer the newly designed Boston bag used by its Global Ambassadors. The design features the names of cities around the world where UNIQLO has stores, with “New York” printed in the largest letters for the bag used at the U.S. Open. With a 41-liter capacity (2,500 cubic inches), and several internal pockets, the design provides efficient storage. The patent leather material is water and stain resistant, making it ideal for outdoor sports.

Winner of an Oscar, a Grammy, four Emmys, nine Tonys, three BAFTAs and many other awards, director, actor, writer, producer and comedian Mike Nichols (November 6, 1931 – November 19, 2014) was an artistic trailblazer. As the legendary comedy duo Nichols and May, Nichols and his partner Elaine May revolutionized comedy in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Now, May has directed the first documentary about her former partner, Mike Nichols: American Masters, premiering Friday, January 29, 2016, at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) to launch the 30th anniversary season of THIRTEEN’s American Masters series.

Country music star Luke Bryan will perform LIVE at AT&T Stadium during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys game against the Carolina Panthers on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, kicking off The Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign. The nationally televised halftime performance marks the 19th year the Dallas Cowboys have partnered with The Salvation Army to launch the iconic annual campaign, which raises millions of dollars throughout the holiday season. Donations help provide meals and shelter for families and Christmas toys for millions of children, in addition to numerous other social services programs year-round, such as substance abuse programs, shelter and counseling for victims of domestic violence, and military veteran assistance.

From its humble beginnings as a Salvation Army captain’s start-up program in 1891 in San Francisco, the Red Kettle Campaign has grown into one of the most recognizable and important charitable campaigns in the United States. It provides toys for kids, coats for the homeless, food for the hungry and countless social service programs year-round. As part of the campaign, more than 25,000 Salvation Army volunteers throughout the country ring bells and solicit donations to the Red Kettles.

The advertising campaign was revealed just after midnight on last night through the
brand’s social media channels, and will run globally in top print publications, television, online and out-of-home placements, including billboards in key cities worldwide. The striking campaign imagery and revealing video was shot in Nadal’s hometown in Mallorca, Spain.

H&M To Open Monumental Store In New York City’s Herald Square

On May 20th, H&M, will open its Herald Center flagship, which will become its largest H&M store in the world at noon with a special performance by music icon John Legend. One of the most dynamic shopping destinations in the world, Herald Center is located at the southwest corner of 34th Street where Broadway and Avenue of the Americas converge. The store will be the 13th location in Manhattan, and will become a fashion destination for the millions of New Yorkers and international visitors who pass through Herald Square.

The store located at 1 Herald Center in Manhattan, New York 10001. New York City has the largest concentration of H&M stores in the country, employing over 1,900 people. The new store has a custom illuminated store front that wraps around 33rd Street, 34th Street and 6th Avenue. The shirt is being released in time for Jackie Robinson Day, which is April 15th a date throughout Major League Baseball that pays tribute to Mr. Robinson and commemorates the first time he played for the MLB in 1947.

To celebrate the legendary ball player, Tommy Bahama has created a custom designed shirt with hand painted artwork that wraps around the entire shirt and features a vintage photo of Mr. Robinson in a classic Brooklyn Dodgers uniform. Embroidered elements include Mr. Robinson’s retired number “42” on the right sleeve and front, along with his signature and the Tommy Bahama logo on the back. It also features his career highlights printed on the back.  The shirt comes packaged inside a custom designed garment bag, with one of Mr. Robinson’s favorite quotes, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives,” printed on it. Only a limited quantity of shirts will be produced and each one will be numbered.

The first licensed football rookie cards of the year will debut in 2014 Upper Deck Football and fans can expect to see some of the best prospects in the game. Over the past several weeks, Upper Deck has been busy signing deals with the highest-profile players who are a part of the heavily touted 2014 pro football draft class. Signing sessions with many of the players have already begun as Upper Deck acquires hard-signed signatures for the company’s popular “Lettermen” autograph cards.

Upper Deck will be the first trading card manufacturer to deliver fans licensed rookie cards of top talents like Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Michael Sam, Blake Bortles, Derek Carr, Ka’Deem Carey, Sammy Watkins and other sensational draft picks to be. Fans and collectors can look for rookie cards (including autograph versions) of these young stars when 2014 Upper Deck Football hits shelves on April 16.

Football fans can find 200 different rookie cards in the 2014 Upper Deck Football set from first-round superstars to sleepers that inevitably take collectors by storm once they hit the gridiron and showcase their talents. Beyond the regular Star Rookie cards, fans can find short-printed photo variation rookies, glossy rookies numbered to just 10 copies, and autographed rookies.

Additionally, Upper Deck pays homage to the past with the “1994 UD Tribute” insert set featuring veterans and rookies along with autograph parallel versions.

The “College Mascot Patch” insert cards have been incredibly popular over the last two years and the 2014 set has evolved into “College Tribute Patch” cards. This new insert series uses patches to highlight college football traditions from around the country. Whether it be the “smoke show” at Miami or Howard’s Rock at Clemson, fans are sure to be clamoring to collect the entire 60-card set. Every hobby case will deliver four of these patch cards on average with varying levels of rarity.

Also returning are “Predictor” cards which became very popular during the 1990’s.
