Saks Fifth Avenue today reveals additional details of their holiday collaboration with Disney. The two brands will come together to delight shoppers this holiday season with dazzling “Frozen 2”-inspired windows, exclusive product and a one-of-a-kind in-store experience.

Saks will debut its holiday windows on Monday, November 25 and continue its long-standing tradition of holding a spectacular holiday show in the middle of Fifth Avenue. The epic unveiling event will include a musical performance by Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa) of a song from the “Frozen 2” Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, along with a song from her upcoming holiday album, “Christmas: A Season of Love.” The production will also include a 10-story-tall theatrical light show and entertainment from a 50-person choir, along with a flurry of Disney entertainers. The event will be livestreamed on Saks.com/Holiday and Disney.com.

DISNEY’S “FROZEN 2”-INSPIRED WINDOWS

Inspired by Disney’s “Frozen 2,” Saks’s center six windows of the flagship store will bring scenes from the film to life. The displays will depict Elsa and Anna’s extraordinary journey to discover truths about their past while encountering the four spirits of nature. Adored characters Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven will also appear throughout the vignettes as they champion the sisters along the way.

Saturated color, texture and cavernous landscapes inform the overall composition of the remaining windows that wrap the building. Theatrical lighting in bold hues illuminate the landscapes and create a surreal environment—a perfect backdrop for mannequins dressed in over-the-top designer fashion.

DISNEY’S FROZEN 2 ENCHANTED FOREST EXPERIENCE AT SAKS

Disney’s Frozen 2 Enchanted Forest Experience at Saks will be an immersive, wonder-filled experience that will offer visitors the chance to be transported to the spectacular world of “Frozen 2” and experience Anna and Elsa’s journey through the enchanted forest, encountering the four spirits of nature and other beloved characters along the way. Located on the ninth floor of the New York flagship store, the activation will run from Tuesday, November 26 through Tuesday, December 24. Tickets are $5 each (+ taxes and fees) and Saks will donate $5 from the sale of each ticket to New York-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children’s Hospital. Walker Art Center Presents Choreographers’ Evening 2019

A Night of 11 Experimental Dance Works Plus 2 Preshow Performances Curated by SuperGroup

Celebrating Minnesota dance and performance while expanding a post-Thanksgiving tradition at the Walker, this year’s Choreographers’ Evening is curated by SuperGroup—the deliriously inventive performance collaboration of Erin Search-Wells, Sam Johnson, and Jeffrey Wells. The evening features a diverse array of 13 fresh, provocative, compelling, and experimental works by ever-evolving local dancemakers.

Choreographers’ Evening 2019 features Emily Gastineau, Erika Hansen, Mathew Janczewski, Cecil Neal, Leah Nelson, Margaret Ogas, Sharon Picasso, Eva Reed and Piper Rolfes, Kayla Schiltgen, Judith H. Shuǐ Xiān, Deja Stowers, Shanan Tolzin and Kristina de Sacramento, and Julie Warder.

On curating the evening, SuperGroup said, “We chose the pieces for Choreographers’ Evening based on our group instinct. In some ways, we approached curating this evening as we might the creation of our own work—looking for ways that varied content, forms, and concepts can coexist and converse. Come early to experience a preshow featuring two performances by Erika Hansen and Leah Nelson that take place in the public spaces or lobby of the McGuire Theater (locations to be announced). Holiday 2019 Travel: Graceland Celebrates the Christmas Season with Annual Holiday Lighting, Holiday Concert Weekend

There’s no place more magical than Elvis Presley’s Graceland® in Memphis at Christmastime. Recently nominated as one the Best Holiday Historic Home Tours in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Graceland celebrates the Christmas season this year with two festive holiday events.

The holiday season kicks-off on November 21 with the time-honored tradition of Graceland’s annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony. This year’s ceremony features a special performance from country music star Chase Bryant, who will be joined by cast members from Hallmark Channel’s new movie “Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays” to help light Graceland Mansion for the holidays. Cast members expected to appear include Lori Beth Sikes, Alan Wells, Nina Thurmond, Trace Masters, Laney Malone, Hailey Harris, Anniston Almond, and Shaleen Cholera. This year’s holiday celebration features a 100 percent chance of snow, a special visit from Santa Claus, kids crafts and fun for the entire family.

Following the lighting ceremony, the festivities continue into the night with the world premiere of Hallmark Channel’s all-new holiday film at the Soundstage at Graceland – “Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays.” Shot on location at Graceland and other locations throughout Memphis, the film stars Adrian Grenier (“Entourage”) and Kaitlin Doubleday (“Empire,” “Nashville”), as well as a special appearance by Priscilla Presley. “Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays” premieres Saturday, November 23 at 8 PM EST (7 PM CST), as part of Hallmark Channel’s annual “Countdown to Christmas.”

Graceland’s Lighting Ceremony is free and open to the public. Celebrate the UK’s most innovative and daring commercials from the creative world of British advertising. One of the Walker’s most popular traditions back for the 33rd year, the British Arrows Awards showcases an eclectic mix of riveting mini-dramas, high-tech extravaganzas, wacky comedy, and vital public service announcements.

The British Arrows is a much-loved program in the Twin Cities with many people attending year after year.
