Target’ has announcement that it’ll be going mad for plaid by paying homage to this fan-favorite, brisk-weather pattern as only Target could with an Epic Plaid Takeover.

A partnership between Target and American sportswear designer Adam Lippes, who has created a limited-edition collection of apparel, accessories, and specialty home goods. But there’s a catch: Target challenged Lippes to create the entire line around one thing and one thing only: buffalo plaid. (Lippes is a native-born son of Buffalo, New York). Startups Set To Shift to the Next Gear at 2015 International CES

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) ® announced that executives from Electrolux, General Motors, Philips and Qualcomm will take part in a panel discussion regarding How Mobile is Fundamentally Changing Our World at the 2015 International CES®. Owned and produced by CEA, the 2015 CES, the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, will run January 6-9, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2015 CES will feature more than 3,500 exhibitors unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services across the entire ecosystem of consumer technologies.

Phil Abram, Chief Infotainment Officer, General Motors. Abram is responsible for setting and implementing a global infotainment strategy for Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC, OnStar, Opel, Vauxhaul and Holden. Abram joined GM in January 2012, after serving as president and chief operating officer for Sonos, Inc., a wireless music system for homes. At Sonos, Abram headed up product management, worldwide sales and marketing, inventory, logistics and sales operations. From 1996 to 2007, Abram held a number of positions in business development, product management and engineering.  From 2005 to 2007, he was vice president and senior general manager, marketing for Sony Electronics, responsible for Sony’s television business in the US. Jeroen Tas, CEO, Healthcare Informatics, Solutions and Services, Philips. Jeroen Tas has over 30 years of global experience as an entrepreneur and senior executive in information technology. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the 2014 CES, the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, will run January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

From wearable tech to the latest in 3D printing, the Internet of Things, driverless cars and sensor technologies, the 2014 CES will feature the world’s largest hands-on showcase of emerging innovation” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy, CEA. “With just a few weeks to go until the 2014 CES, we cannot wait to see these game-changing technologies come to life on the show floor.”

The 2014 CES will feature more than 3,200 exhibitors unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services across 15 product categories. The 2014 CES will include exhibits, conferences and TechZones that highlight the latest emerging trends.

Discover Design, a destination for buyers seeking unique products from high-design and innovative companies, is nearly sold-out for the 2014 International Home + Housewares Show. Discover Design is a juried category and located in the Dine + Design Expo in the South Building.

  • A Discover Design Global Innovation Awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 17.

Once again, Discover Design companies are eligible to compete for a Global Innovation Award (gia) for product innovation and booth design. Each company can submit two new products and one collection for consideration for a gia award. The 11 winners will be announced at the invitation-only gia dinner on Sunday, March 16, held at the Radisson Blu Chicago.

The 2014 International Home + Housewares Show features more than 2,100 exhibitors from 125 countries and attracts more than 60,000 attendees.
