Get ready for the holidays with #BOLDBH events and a spectacular Holiday Lighting Celebration

The second annual BOLD Holidays campaign kicks off on November 15 from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. with the highly anticipated Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration. This multi-generational event is brought to you by the Rodeo Drive Committee in partnership with the City of Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau and Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. The event will be hosted by TV and social media personality Dawn McCoy and the festivities will include live music from electro hip-hop violinist and America’s Got Talent contestant, Svet, and a specially curated 20-piece #BOLDBH band which will be playing a mix of holiday classics and decades hits. Also included will be a dramatic unveiling of the lighting and décor featuring a newly revealed holiday social art installation as well as the debut of artist Alexa Meade‘s solo exhibition at 262 North Rodeo Drive which will be open to the public daily (closed Thanksgiving Day) until December 23. Rounding out the evening will be a champagne garden, delicious food trucks, a robust fireworks show and more.

The BOLD Holidays celebrations will continue every Friday and Saturday evening between 5 p.m. -8 p.m., from November 16 December 22 on the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Rodeo Drive as well as throughout the city. The streets will come alive once again with experiential programming, beautiful lights and holiday cheer. Guests can enjoy later shopping hours from their favorite merchants while experiencing unforgettable holiday moments featuring larger than life #BOLDBH California snowballs, a live ice sculpting experience, an interactive peace wall, elegant ballerinas performing on top of grand pianos, contortionist fashion art coming to life on the street and much more!

Following her interactive BOLD Summer installations, Meade will transform the space on Rodeo Drive into a three-dimensional art installation that will appear to be two-dimensional when photographed. Visitors stepping into an immersive art exhibition will become part of the artwork as they don hand painted clothing and accessories. Meade, who has appeared around the globe creating special installations and most recently painted music superstar Ariana Grande in her latest music video, “God is a Woman,” will paint live models at the exhibition to augment the experience on November 15, November 30, and December 14.

Denver Art Museum To Debut First Major U.S. Retrospective Of The House Of Dior

Dior: From Paris to the World will celebrate more than 70 years of the French house’s enduring legacy

Soon to open to the public, The Denver Art Museum (DAM) will be home to the U.S. presentation of Dior: From Paris to the World, an exhibition surveying more than 70 years of the House of Dior’s enduring legacy and its global influence. A selection of more than 200 haute couture dresses, as well as accessories, photographs, original sketches, runway videos, and other archival material, will trace the history of the iconic haute couture fashion house. The DAM’s presentation of Dior: From Paris to the World will be on view in the Anschutz and Martin and McCormick galleries on level two of the Hamilton Building.DAM-logo-horizontal-green

Christian Dior generated a revolution in Paris and around the globe after World War II in 1947 with his New Look collection. Dior, the art gallerist who became a celebrated couturier, completely shed the masculine silhouette that had been established during the war, expressing modern femininity with his debut collection. Dior’s sophisticated designs, featuring soft shoulders, accentuated busts, and nipped waists, drew on his inspirations of art, antiques, fashion illustration and his passion for gardening. The result was elegant feminine contours that brought a breath of fresh air to the fashion world through luxurious swaths of fabrics, revolutionary design, and lavish embroidery. This marked the beginning of an epic movement in fashion history that would eventually lead to Dior successfully becoming the first worldwide couture house.

The museum will mount this major exhibition with loans from the esteemed Dior Héritage Collection, many of which have rarely been seen outside of Europe, with additional loans from major institutions. The chronological presentation, showcasing pivotal themes in the House of Dior’s global history, will focus on how Christian Dior cemented his fashion house’s reputation within a decade and established the house on five continents—Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. Dior: From Paris to the World also will highlight how his successors adeptly incorporated their own design aesthetic.

Dior: From Paris to the World also will profile its founder, Christian Dior, and subsequent artistic directors, including Yves-Saint Laurent (1958–1960), Marc Bohan (1961–1989), Gianfranco Ferré (1989–1996), John Galliano (1997–2011), Raf Simons (2012–2015) and Maria Grazia Chiuri (2016–present), who have carried Dior’s vision into the 21st century.

Additionally, the Company owns and operates a number of premier salons across the U.S. Mr. Fekkai sold Fekkai Brands in 2008.

Selling the Fekkai brands is an ownership group of Dilesh Mehta, Tony Bajaj, Joel Ronkin and Amy Sachs, which purchased the business in 2015. Joel Ronkin, exiting CEO of Fekkai Brands added: “Frédéric is an accomplished entrepreneur with a proven track record of building highly desirable brands.
