Project Aims To Collect 15,000 Handbags To Help Women In Need
Women Across The U.S. Are Invited To Donate A Gently Used Handbag And, In Turn, They Will Receive $25 To $50 Towards A New Handbag.
Brighton, a company with a culture of giving, extends an invitation to join them in their 18th annual Handbag Trade-In. They are asking for your help with their goal of collecting 15,000 gently used handbags in ten days – to be donated to 15,000 women who are struggling.
For 42 years, Brighton has focused on custom design and craftsmanship, creating timeless accessories from the finest leathers. They have always believed in giving back to the communities surrounding their 180 stores and they are grateful to their loyal customers who participate and help them as they strive to continue making a positive difference in communities throughout the U.S.
Known for excellent quality and a broad-ranging assortment of finely crafted accessories, Brighton produces handbags, jewelry, belts, footwear, small leather essentials, eyewear, luggage, fragrances, and gifts.
Many women have the good fortune to own a number of handbags and have at least one that they no longer carry. That bag could bring joy to someone less fortunate. As Brighton’s owner and founder Jerry Kohl explains, “The simple gift of a handbag can lift a woman’s spirits and help give her confidence when she is interviewing for a much-needed job.”
Handbag Trade-In is one of many charitable initiatives Brighton is involved in each year. As part of #BrightonGivesBack, Brighton has donated over $10 million to charitable organizations including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Soles4Souls, Little Kids Rock, Dress for Success, and other local charities helping women to re-enter the workplace.
Look into your closet, gather up gently used handbags and bring them to a participating Brighton Collectibles store between July 14th and 23rd, 2017 to receive up to $50 off a brand new Brighton bag. Any manufacturer’s handbags can be donated to qualify for the savings. (Naturally, you may donate a handbag without purchasing a new one.)
