Recognized for his monumental music festivals, Danny Wimmer‘s newest venture moves above and beyond music. Together with best-selling author and acclaimed bourbon authority, Fred Minnick, and nationally-celebrated Louisville chef, Edward Lee, Danny Wimmer Presents blends the best elements of a bourbon festival, a food festival, and a music festival into one all-encompassing celebration in honor of the soul and spirit of Kentucky. BOURBON & BEYOND will be an enriching weekend featuring the best bourbons, master distillers, national and local chefs, bartenders, musicians, and many other artisans.

THE BOURBON LINEUP:

The festival will showcase over 50 of the best Kentucky bourbons curated by Fred Minnick, Edward Lee, and Chris Cosentino. Festivalgoers will get the chance to dive deep into the Kentucky bourbon experience through several exciting facets like:

  • The Big Bourbon Bar: A 20,000-square-foot bar featuring delicious bourbon cocktails presented by the Louisville Courier-Journal.
  • The Hunter’s Club: A bourbon hound’s dream come true with experimental, rare, and hard-to-find bourbons.
  • The Bourbon Barrel Cooperage: A behind-the-scenes look at how coopers craft the oak barrels used to age bourbon.
  • The Distillery: An interactive experience to discover the life of a master blender, taster, and distiller.
  • Bourbon Workshops: Access to bourbon’s best and brightest in a series of free and intimate distilling, bartending, pairing, and cooking workshops.

In addition to the many incredible Kentucky bourbon experiences, BOURBON & BEYOND will partner with renowned local chefs and over 20 beloved Louisville restaurants to deliver one-of-a-kind delectable creations. The first round of participating restaurants includes Baxter’s 942 Bar & Grill, Boss Hog’s BBQ, Doc Crow’s, Gospel Bird, Seviche, The Manhattan Exchange, Whiskey Dry and much more to be announced in the coming months.

Guests will be able to eat, drink, and party at The Big Easy Boil presented by Southern Comfort, Tiki Barrel Bar, Funk & Soul & BBQ. BOURBON & BEYOND will also offer Incredible Feasts, one-of-a-kind communal dining experiences including The Chicks & Champs Gospel Brunch and the exclusive B&B Supper Club featuring Tom Colicchio. Stuart Weitzman Launches 2017 Bridal Collection

Here comes the bride…to a Stuart Weitzman boutique. The Stuart Weitzman Spring 2017 Bridal Collection enhances the brand’s iconic minimalist sandal silhouettes with elegant new details and materials for the bride to walk down the aisle in style. The sexy, simple NUDIST sandal is available in three heel heights and a variety of luxe materials, including white satin, argento noir, platinum gold noir and rose gold patent leather. The popular NEARLYNUDE block heel sandal is updated for the spring bridal collection, offered in white or light blue leather and finished with a glittering heel. The bride-to-be looking to add a little sparkle to her step still has the option to embellish these iconic styles with clear, chalk white or “Something Blue” light sapphire Swarovski crystals.

Footwear plays a major role in every bride’s big day, so for those Instagram-able moments, the brand will continue to offer a customization based on Weitzman’s own proposal to his wife of 50 years, Jane, when he got down on one knee with a shoe instead of a ring. The lining of the one-of-a-kind shoe was inscribed “Made expressly for the future Mrs. Weitzman.” The bridal customization program takes a page out of the designer’s playbook by offering brides the option to personalize their sock lining with their new married name and wedding date.

Additional silhouettes round out the assortment, including the MEMOIR, a low strappy sandal in glitter lace and a duo of chic barely-there flat sandals, the TWEETY and the BALLSOFFIRE. The MOREPEARLS, a block heel sandal adorned with feminine pearls, offers an ornate option for the bride. Retail prices range from $398 – $485. The Swarovski crystal-encrusted NEARLYNUDE and NUDIST retail for $2,200.

On the heels of last year’s successful Bridal Collection relaunch, the brand will bring the bridal program, previously available online only, to select regional boutiques this spring. The collection will debut exclusively at the Michigan Avenue, Madison Avenue, Greenwich Avenue, Rodeo Drive, South Coast Plaza, NorthPark Center and Lenox Square boutiques and will continue to be available at www.stuartweitzman.com. The collection will arrive in stores and online mid-April.

Lord & Taylor is pleased to announce the appointment of Bobbi Brown as Creative Consultant. The exclusive partnership kicks off today with the launch of justBOBBI concept shops at select Lord & Taylor locations and online. Coinciding with the release of Bobbi’s new book, Beauty from the Inside Out, this initiative with the iconic retailer marks her first partnership following her recent departure from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Ms. Brown is a makeup artist, entrepreneur and the founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. In 2013, she launched her eponymous eyewear collection with Safilo USA, translating her beauty expertise into the eyewear category. After stepping down from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in December 2016, she was appointed creative consultant at Lord & Taylor in April 2017 and recently launched an-instore and on-line concept shop there called justBobbi. The debut of her ninth book, Beauty From the Inside Outinspired her new company Beauty Evolution, a lifestyle and content company. 

justBOBBI shops will feature merchandise ranging from wellness and beauty products to apparel and accessories that reflect her unique aesthetic and holistic lifestyle. Designed to give customers a 360-degree view of Brown’s life, the concept shops will highlight her everyday wardrobe essentials such as Hudson denim, Giles and Brother accessories, philanthropic t-shirt brands good hYOUman and n:Philanthropy, as well as select wellness items such as the Super Elixir and Dr. Frank Lipman supplements that are prominently featured in her new book. An exclusive Parker Thatch tote with text from an 1861 Lord & Taylor advertisement is available, designed by Brown who drew inspiration from the brand’s rich archives. An assortment of her New York Times best-selling books will also be featured throughout the shop.
