Fender® Unleashes Bassbreaker™, A New Series Of Amplifiers That Pairs Classic Fender DNA With Modern Attitude

A distinctive nine-piece all-tube series of electric guitar amplifiers expands Fender’s audio offerings in 2016

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) releases Bassbreaker, an all-tube nine-piece electric guitar amplifier series. The line blends the DNA of classic Fender cleans with aggressive tones, creating versatility for artists and players, leaving them searching for words to describe it’s depth.

BASSBREAKER 45: A powerful beast, the Bassbreaker 45 is the 45-watt flagship model that is based on the ’59 Bassman and leads a first-rate lineup of lower-wattage models, all with pro-level tone and performance for today’s rock players. Features include dual EL34 output tubes, an output level knob that scales the power from 45 watts to a single watt, Normal and Bright inputs, plus BOTH input for achieving legendary “channel blend” tonal variations without a patch cable and two 12” Celestion® V-Type speakers in the combo version.

BASSBREAKER 18/30: The Bassbreaker 18/30 model packs two amps into a single chassis for bell-like clean tones and warm crunch when driven. Channel One is a 30-watt version of the Blackface Fender Deluxe™ amp, and Channel Two’s circuit is based on an 18-watt ’61 brown Deluxe, offering plenty of power amp overdrive with easily controlled dynamics at “real world” volume levels. Also included with the 18/30 is a footswitch that allows easy selection between both channels and four EL84 power tubes that add a distinctive midrange punch. Two 12” Celestion V-Type Speakers can be found in the combo version.

BASSBREAKER 15: The Bassbreaker 15 is the go-to for performing and recording. This model creates its magic with a trio of 12AX7 preamp tubes feeding into two EL84 power tubes for 15 watts of modern tone. The recording-friendly features include an XLR line output with switchable speaker emulation and Power Amp Mute. A single 12” Celestion V-Type speaker is also included in the combo version.

BASSBREAKER 007: The Bassbreaker 007 is great for the home or studio. Fueled by a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes and a single EL84 power tube for 7 watts of true Class-A amplification, the Bassbreaker 007 Combo features traditional gain and tone controls along with a switchable vintage-style treble booster. Other features include onboard 1/4” line output for use with recording equipment or a larger amp and a single 10” Celestion Ten Thirty speaker in the combo model.

BASSBREAKER 112 AND 212: The Bassbreaker 112 and 212 speaker enclosures are engineered to match and enhance Bassbreaker combos and heads. Features on both include a semi-closed back for full, rich lows and 12-inch, 8-Ohm Celestion V-Type speakers. The BB-112 includes total impedance of 8 Ohms and fits neatly under the Bassbreaker 15 combo/head and the Bassbreaker 007 head. The BB-212 has a total impedance of 16 Ohms and fits well under the Bassbreaker 45 combo/head and the Bassbreaker 18/30 combo.
