For Spring/Summer 2014, European luxury brand MCM (Moderne Creation München) takes inspiration from the worlds of imagination and androgyny. Coming on the heels of the magnificently revolutionary Barneys Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign featuring a cast of transgendered men and women, the season’s advertising campaign “Flower Boys in Paradise” captures a unisex fantasy inspired by Arcadian Utopia. Korean photographer Kyung-il Park shot the techno- futuristic, colorful campaign, featuring Serbian-Australian androgynous model Andrej Pejic.

The imagery takes on the form of a butterfly-shaped kaleidoscope. On one side of the “butterfly wing” Andrej Pejic evokes a boyish facade and on the other side a sultry and girlish smirk. Pejic is truly as gender‐blind as the collection itself, as while shooting the campaign, Pejic exclaimed: “I’m a boy and I’m a girl!”In one shot, Pejic introduces the beautifully structured Elda Tote with its classic design, muted tones, and sophisticated shape. In another, the versatile Keana with its shrunken lamb body and minimalist aesthetic is featured. And last but not least, the empire yellow Blume Flower Tote blossoms in the hands of our favorite supermodel. A tribute to all you flower girls and boys!

Embodying the rebellious yet sophisticated, culturally rich spirit of Munich, the brand reflects the inspiration and attitude from the cityʼs glamorous and legendary age, a long-time favorite of international royalty, celebrities and VIPs. MCM is renowned for excellence in European craftsmanship, continuing to be the pioneer of the market by continuously evolving with clever designs, durable materials and delivering versatile styles to suit every need.An East-meets-West phenomenon, the brand offers sophisticated handbags, practical and stylish luggage, functional business bags, backpacks and trendy small leather goods.
