Bugatti Presents its Inaugural Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection at Milan 2014 fall/winter Men’s

  • First Fall / Winter collection of men’s clothing and accessories
  • EB – Ettore Bugatti and Extreme Performance lines feature new capsule collections
  • Exclusive joint fashion event hosted by Bugatti and L’Uomo Vogue at Casa Alessandro Manzoni in the heart of Milan

The first complete Bugatti menswear and accessories collection for Fall/Winter 2014-15 was presented Saturday evening. The exclusive “The Magic of La Vie en Bleu” event, organized by Bugatti in cooperation with L’Uomo Vogue, was attended by many celebrities from the worlds of cinema and fashion.

Having successfully launched its new Lifestyle Collection just a few months ago, Bugatti showed its first full collection of men’s clothing and accessories for Fall/Winter 2014-15. Under the theme “The Magic of La Vie en Blue”, the presentation took place this past Saturday night during Milan Men’s Fashion Week at an event hosted by Bugatti in a special cooperation with L’Uomo Vogue. The Bugatti Fall / Winter 2014-15 collection extends its range with the addition of two lines, EB Ettore Bugatti and Extreme Performance, which were introduced at the initial Lifestyle Collection launch.

After launching its Lifestyle Collection at the renowned Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan last September, Bugatti returned to the city to present its Fall/Winter Collection on the first day of Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Bugatti and L’Uomo Vogue chose Casa Manzoni, house of famous Italian nineteenth century poet and writer Alessandro Manzoni, as an exclusive and first-time location for a fashion event. The evening’s theme “The Magic of La Vie en Bleu” was chosen to reflect the Bugatti Lifestyle and to celebrate the legendary brand’s signature colour Bleu, which was originally used by Ettore Bugatti for his first racing cars in the 1920s, following the tradition of blue-painted French racing cars and retained by the brand ever since.

L’Uomo Vogue Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani and Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. President Wolfgang Schreiber welcomed the illustrious guests, including actor Stephen Dorff, Anna Dello Russo, Gaia Trussardi, Dean and Dan Caten, Leonardo Ferragamo, Moncler Chairman Remo Ruffini, the President of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion Mario Boselli, the model Andre Van Noord, in addition to other international guests.

The EB – Ettore Bugatti line is entirely “Fabriquè en Italie” (“Made in Italy”) and conveys a strong statement: suits with striking sartorial cuts made with prestige Biella fabrics and incredible detailing. They also have a truly unique ‘plus’: all the garments – designed individually one by one just as a Bugatti car is – share their DNA with the Bugatti brand. To achieve this, Bugatti established a highly select network of suppliers to ensure the excellence of top quality Italian craftsmanship: thus, Biella is used for yarns and fabrics made of the most precious fibres; Riviera del Brenta for the leather garments; Florence for all small leather items; and Como for the silk scarves and ties. Armani/Casa Goes Back to Nature with its 2013/2014 Collection

Nature is a special place, where dreams meet reality and reality can transfigure itself into a sign or symbol, or a pure expression of culture.”

Nature as Giorgio Armani observes it is “eternal, infinite and powerful, seemingly simple yet always producing different paths through which to reconcile desire and fantasy.” The new Armani/Casa Collection was born from this enchanted observation and it is expressed in the use of unusual eco-friendly materials to protect the environment: striped banana tree finishes (gathered after the crops are cut) and tamo, the Japanese ash wood whose grain seems to reproduce the movements of sand in Zen gardens.

They are striking materials for furniture that features pure lines and simple shapes. Like the Gabriel Wardrobe that was inspired by old trunks: it is made in tamo with internal lighting and brown soft leather-covered trim, reminiscent of the wooden construction of vintage travelling containers. The elegant Daybed, which stems from the previous Engadin model, covered with soft leathers and fabrics from the Armani/Casa Exclusive Textiles by Rubelli line. The sophisticated Glam Dressing Table is delicate and feminine, with pale gold metal finish, offered in three different precious versions. Continue reading

Emilia Clarke, the British actress and 2014 Golden Globes presenter who is featured on the hit television series Game of Thrones, got red carpet ready for the Golden Globes with a custom nail look created with Sally Hansen nail color. The talented and gorgeous starlet, who has recently been cast to appear in the next Terminator, has quickly become one to watch in Hollywood and a red carpet favorite.

Celebrity nail artist Lisa Postma created a sophisticated look for Clarke using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Wine Not to complement her custom embroidered lace and black accented Proenza Schouler gown. To create the nail look, Postma used two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Wine Not on Emilia’s natural nail shape. For a smooth, flawless finish, Postma used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Dry + Go Drops to seal the manicure.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure ($7.99) is an all-in-one formula that combines all the 7 benefits of a professional salon manicure—a base coat, a strengthener, a growth treatment, rich color, top coat, gel-like shine and chip resistance —in a single multi-tasking polish.

The New Porsche 911 Targa: The World Premiere of a Modern Classic Featuring the Innovative Targa Roof

The new Porsche 911 Targa

At the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit later this month, Porsche is presenting the latest generation of the extravagant 911 model to the public. This model is the first to combine the classic Targa concept with state-of-the-art roof technology. Just like the legendary original Targa model, the new model features the characteristic wide bar in place of the B-pillars, a movable roof section above the front seats and a wraparound rear window with no C-pillar. But unlike the classic models, the roof segment on the new Targa can be opened and closed at the push of a button. When the button is actuated, the fully automatic roof system stows the convertible top behind the rear seat system, providing a real spectacle. The rear-weighted design of the PTM all-wheel drive fitted as standard is a typical Porsche feature, and guarantees that this latest 911 model also offers optimum driving dynamics on all road surfaces and in all weather conditions.

With these features, the new 911 Targa is presenting itself as a high-quality, innovative remake of the classic vehicle from 1965. The model shares a great deal in common with the 911 Carrera 4 cabriolet models; up to the window line, the technology and body of the vehicles is more or less the same. The combination of the wide rear end that is typical of all-wheel drive models, the Targa bar and the dome-shaped rear window gives the latest 911 an extremely sporty appearance and a low-slung profile.
