Before the bubbles have settled in this year’s champagne glasses, Crystal Cruises has set party plans to spend next New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong, home of one of the most spectacular Eve bashes on the planet.

From December 30, 2014 through January 1, 2015, Crystal Symphony will be docked at Ocean Terminal in KowloonCRYSTAL-CRUISES-LOGO1 for a bird’s eye view of the famously elaborate countdown celebration and musical pyrotechnics display in Victoria Harbour.  The prime spot also provides the perfect vantage point for viewing the massive skyscrapers specially illuminated for the holidays and the nightly Symphony of Lights – the largest permanent light show in the world.

The “China Sea Holiday Spectacular” Asia cruise boasts several holiday celebrations.  Christmas and Hanukkah will be celebrated with traditional feasts, parties, holiday shows, and religious services amidst Crystal’s lavish seasonal décor.  On New Year’s Eve, besides taking in Hong Kong’s holiday festivities in  luxurious comfort on board, Crystal guests can also enjoy a multi-course gourmet dinner, champagne, live music, and a festive balloon drop.

The 15-day holiday voyage begins December 21 and sails to Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City (overnight), Chan May, through Halong Bay, and on to Hanoi’s port of Hongai, and Hong Kong (two nights), conveniently round-trip from Bangkok’s port of Laem Chebang.  All-inclusive fares begin at $7,425/person, with $600/person air allowance if booked by February 28.

The joint venture, a 50/50 global partnership between Diageo and Combs Wine & Spirits, builds on the separate strategic alliance formed by Diageo and Combs Enterprises to develop and grow the Cîroc ultra-premium vodka brand. Since the alliance began in 2007, Cîroc has grown from just 50,000 cases a year into a nearly 2 million case brand. The joint venture acquisition of DeLeón will allow the brand to benefit from Diageo’s strong distribution network, supply chain, and marketing capability and Sean Combs’ access to influencers and proven track record of marketing luxury lifestyle brands.

Blue Flame, another of Combs’s enterprises, has collaborated with Diageo in marketing Cîroc ultra-premium vodka in the US since 2007.

DeLeón is a 100% blue weber agave boutique tequila brand with a loyal following in Hollywood and the U.S. music industry. The brand has strong appeal with status-conscious consumers who choose spirit brands as part of their luxury lifestyle. The acquisition of DeLeón will accelerate Diageo’s share of ultra-premium and above ($40+) tequila, which is the second-fastest growing segment of the tequila category in the U.S. DeLeón has five variants with suggested retail prices ranging from $120.00 to over $1,000.00. Companta exudes rich, ‘autumnal’ scents of red berries, and a hint of fragrant wood smoke with complementary notes of aromatic, nutty oak. As a true wine aficionado, some of my most memorable visits have been to France. The smaller vineyards work tirelessly to produce the very best wine, their dedication and attention to detail never ceases to amaze me.  In the same spirit as Glenmorangie, they stop at nothing in the pursuit of perfection. This shared philosophy inspired me to create the ultimate tribute to my longstanding love for French vineyards and the friends that I’ve had the pleasure to make throughout my travels.

Selecting parcels of Glenmorangie which had been matured in traditional American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, I transferred the spirit into casks having previously contained Grand Cru wine from Clos de Tart, one of the most celebrated vineyards in Burgundy.

To complement the bold, spicy character imparted from the Grand Cru casks, I selected a parcel of Glenmorangie which had been extra maturing in casks having previously contained a lusciously sweet fortified wine from Cotes du Rhone. It took some time, but with careful fine tuning we reached a harmonious assemblage which proved the perfect balance; neither too bold nor too tame!”
