Back by popular demand, Mandarin Oriental, Munich is reopening its fantastic pop-up rooftop wooden chalet styled restaurant, The Alm. Set on the hotel’s rooftop, the specially designed wooden chalet will serve warming local Bavarian cuisine in style, with spectacular views overlooking the majestic Alps, the sparkling winter scenery of Munich and the city’s iconic Frauenkirche church
Quietly tucked away in a side street, yet centrally located near the famed Maximilianstraße, Mandarin Oriental, Munich is an elegant gem of Neo-Renaissance charm, providing the highest levels of personalized service in the city and award-winning restaurant and bars. The newly refurbished 48 spacious rooms and 25 suites offer the finest in contemporary luxury and, along with the stunning roof-top pool, feature views that stretch across the picturesque surroundings of the old town.
Traditional, cozy and inviting, the chalet is a true winter retreat in the city with rich wooden interiors and waiters dressed in traditional Bavarian Dirndl and Lederhosen. An indulgent three course menu can be enjoyed at the special price of EUR 59 per person including specialties such as a traditional Bavarian platter or Vienna organic chicken and schnapps. The Alm’s unique setting also makes this the perfect venue for unforgettable Christmas and winter parties, such as champagne or mulled wine receptions. With seating for up to 65 people, the chalet is also perfect for holiday gatherings and can be booked exclusively for both lunch and dinner.
The Alm will be open for dinner from Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. between 1 November 2013 and 31 January 2014. Reservations are recommended.
