L.A. GAY & LESBIAN CENTER OUT FOR SAFE SCHOOLS

More than 30,000 educators, administrators and other staff of the L.A. Unified School District, the second largest school district in the nation, will begin wearing these badges to publicly identify themselves as LGBT allies. The "Out for Safe Schools" initiative, proposed and developed by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Project SPIN (Suicide Prevention Intervention Now) will make LGBT students feel safer and more welcome and send an important message of acceptance to all students.
