Wyoming Inn Opens World’s Largest Thomas D. Mangelsen Photography Collection to Public in Conjunction with the 2013 Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival

The Wyoming Inn in Jackson Hole will display a collection of large-scale nature photographs by renowned art photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen in September. The Jackson, Wyo., hotel is opening its private collection for public viewing while guests are in town for the annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. On September 5, in conjunction with the beginning of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, the Wyoming Inn will open its Thomas D. Mangelsen art photography collection to the public, announced the hotel’s General Manager Michael Solis. The Wyoming Inn, a favorite in-town hotel in Jackson, Wyo., owns the largest private, publicly viewed collection of Mangelsen photography in the country. The renowned art photographer captures nature in remarkable large-scale images.

work in the permanent collection at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. Mangelsen’s work has been widely featured in numerous publications including “National Geographic,” “Audubon,” “National Wildlife,” “Natural History,” “Newsweek” and “American Photo.” He has been profiled on news programs including The Today Show, Good Morning America and CBS News.

Recently, the Wyoming Inn has added 60 Thomas Mangelsen photographs to its collection, bringing the number of works owned to 160. Visitors are invited to stroll through the hotel’s lobby, restaurant, boardroom and corridors to view photographs.
