Through her involvement with QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale,” she is scheduled to appear in both print and television public service announcements supporting the 20th annual charitable shoe sale. A shoe from the Julianne Hough for Sole Society collection is scheduled to be available for purchase during QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale.”

QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale,” which is scheduled to be broadcast live on QVC Thursday, October 10, 2013, from 6 PM to 9 PM (ET), unites multimedia retailer QVC with the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY). Together, the two organizations have generated more than $41 million for the cause. This year, over 120,000 pairs of shoes from more than 80 different brands are scheduled to be offered at half the manufacturer’s suggested retail price*, with net proceeds benefiting breast cancer research and education institutions.

The Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation was created to support ongoing research and education programs in the fight against breast cancer and is supported by members of the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY). Donated footwear is sold on live television through QVC during the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation’s annual charity benefit, QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale.” Net proceeds are distributed to leading breast cancer research and education institutions across the United States, including beneficiaries for the 2013 event: The Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The Samuel Oscine Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, The Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Breast Oncology Program, The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine, and The Margie and Robert E. Petersen Breast Cancer Research Program at the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Saint John’s Health Center.

There are many bonds that women share. Unfortunately breast cancer is one that negatively impacts so many,” said Hough. “Having the opportunity to take a positive bond like a passion for shoes and adapt it to benefit a worthy cause such as this is incredibly fulfilling.”

Julianne’s breadth of talent and her vivacious spirit are admirable,” says Claire Watts, CEO QVC U.S. She is a natural fit as this year’s spokesperson, and we’re so pleased that she is supporting this worthy cause with us.”

Having a spokesperson who is as ambitious and energetic as Julianne helps to attract people to the cause,” says Joe Moore, FFANY’s president and CEO. “Julianne is involved in so many different avenues of work; I know that her enthusiasm will encourage others to get involved.”

The Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation makes its home at 274 Madison Avenue, Suite 1701, New York, NY 10016, www.FFANY.org. Those wishing to support cutting-edge research at these organizations can go to www.ffany.org to make contributions and find out ways to join in and be part of this important effort.

Makeup artist Mally Roncal’s love affair with all things glam started at an early age. As a young girl growing up in upstate New York, Mally began experimenting with makeup on her mother, an incredible beauty who was and continues to be her biggest inspiration. From that early age, Mally’s parents instilled in her the philosophy that the things that make us mally-brand-headshotdifferent are the qualities that make us beautiful—a mantra that has guided Mally in her every pursuit.

Mally quickly moved to the top of the “it” list in the beauty world, working first at the Shisheido makeup counter at Barneys and ultimately as a makeup artist for private clients. Her passion for art, color, and design—along with her charm, contagious enthusiasm, and magnetic personality—helped her become one of the industry’s most dynamic, in-demand talents. For a decade, Mally traveled the globe executing makeup looks for some of the most fab faces in the world, including Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Teri Hatcher, Celine Dion, Lee Ann Womack, Ashlee Simpson, Angelina Jolie, and Heidi Klum. Renowned for her ability to make her clients look and feel beautiful, Mally became the go-to makeup artist for all things beauty, sharing her advice in the pages of top magazines and on shows like Oprah, The Today Show, Rachael Ray, and The View.

After spending 15 years on the road with some of the biggest celebrities in the world, Mally Roncal developed and honed countless signature looks. Through years of trial and error, she discovered what works and what doesn’t for every face, pioneering expert application techniques that deliver instant transformation. All that was missing? The products to create the looks easily and flawlessly. But for Mally, looking your most glam isn’t just for Hollywood A-listers; she believes that every woman deserves to look as “gorgois” on the outside as she feels on the inside. Mally made it her mission to share her beauty philosophy—empowering women everywhere to celebrate the differences that make them so fierce, fabulous, and amazing. Her experience as one of the most sought-after makeup artists in Hollywood means that Mally knows all the tricks of the trade, and why traditional makeup comes up short. From so-called translucent powder that shows up in the flash of red carpet photos to lipsticks, concealers, blushes, and bronzers that fade all too fast, Mally identifies endless makeup no-nos and fixes them.
