Purina ONE® showed the world how to really work the runway, turning heads at the 2013 FALL/WINTER NEW YORK FASHION WEEK at New York City’s LINCOLN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS with cats on leashes during the 2013 FALL/WINTER TRACY REESE Collection Show this past Sunday.
As part of the PURINA ONE brand cat food’s TRUE NATURE™ OF CATS MOVEMENT and the launch of PURINA ONE® SMARTBLEND® HEALTHY METABOLISM™ WET AND DRY FORMULAS, Purina ONE joined forces with cat (and animal) lover, TRACY REESE, in challenging misconceptions about cats, beginning with the idea they can’t be leash-trained.

Even better, her 2013 fall/winter collection, from where I was sitting in the venue, was a critical success with the fashion critics and an even bigger success with the other members of the audience at the show. The fashion industry bible, Women’s Wear Daily, wrote that she “deliver[ed] lots of great effortless looks that veered more edgy that past collections…Also appealing were the loose sweatshirts and sweaters paired with little flippy skirts, while her sequined frocks added a bit of nighttime glam.”
“As a designer, I draw inspiration from everything around me, including cats,” she said. “I loved the idea of incorporating cats into the runway show; cats have a lot of energy, which was the perfect complement to the models and my new line.”
