MIMI’S MONTH-LONG FUNDRAISING EFFORTS/AWARENESS CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF ON NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY, FEB.
MIMI’S CAFE is raising awareness throughout February, AMERICAN HEART MONTH, by supporting the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’S® GO RED FOR WOMEN® movement and its mission to turn America red.
GO RED FOR WOMEN® is the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’s national movement to end heart disease in women. The AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’S GO RED FOR WOMEN® movement advocates for more research and swifter action for women’s heart health and was created by women, for women. Because our health is non-negotiable, because we all have the power to save our lives, and because the best force for women is women. Mimi’s was the first restaurant to support GO RED FOR WOMEN on a national scale. In its second year, Mimi’s will shout louder and stand stronger in the fight against heart disease, the number one killer of women, with its MIMI’S GOES RED CAMPAIGN.
The campaign begins Friday, Feb. 1, the 10TH NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY. Guests who proudly wear red and dine at Mimi’s will receive a FREE cup of signature soup. Throughout the month, guests who donate $1 will receive a heart-shaped tribute card to inscribe and display in the restaurant to complement the iconic red dress standee and red décor. A $5 donation comes with a limited-edition sparkle red dress lapel pin, with 100 percent of all donations going directly to the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. As a thank you, donors will receive up to $30 in Mimi’s savings. Every Tuesday throughout the month, as a show of appreciation, warm-hearted guests can also enjoy a complimentary cup of Mimi’s hot and savory soup with a donation.

In addition to fundraising, Mimi’s is supporting efforts to elevate heart disease and heart health as top-of-mind issues for women and empowering guests to make healthy decisions when dining out.

Mimi’s is also “going red” online. A MIMI’S GOES RED FACEBOOK “CHALLENGE” invites fans to learn about heart health and win prizes. Online donations can be made via Mimi’s e-gift cards. Additional incentives will be offered through MIMI’S TWITTER PARTY ON HEART HEALTH and INSTAGRAM CONTEST. Guests can take a photo with Mimi’s red dress display and upload through Instagram or Facebook to help raise awareness and encourage others to show their support.
