Inspired by the glam style of California, MICHAEL KORS once again chose MARIO TESTINO (who has now shot the label’s campaigns for ten years now) to capture KARMEN PEDARU and SIMON NESSMAN in ultra-glossy images. “We wanted the campaign to highlight the crisp, graphic feel of the Spring collection in bold California colors,” says designer Michael Kors. The handsome couple goes from luxury car to private jet in the bold colors and streamlined silhouettes of spring. Bravo, Michael.

“Best of the Best” Named by 2013 Housewares Design Awards: New Teakettle, Coffee Center and Aroma Diffuser Win Top Honors

Celebrating the creative combination of design flair and functionality that defines the most outstanding housewares products, the 00010732013 HOUSEWARES DESIGN AWARDS has announced the winners of this year’s competition, including three “BEST OF THE BEST” AWARDS, THE “GREEN HOUSE” DESIGN AWARD, and 12 “BEST IN CATEGORY” AWARDS.

The HOUSEWARES DESIGN AWARDS— the premier awards program focused on housewares design innovation— was founded in 2003 by HomeWorld Business to honor the unbending effort within the industry to create new ways to improve everyday living.

As the HOUSEWARES DESIGN AWARDS celebrates 10 years of inspiring design, much has changed in the industry since the first awards ceremony in January 2004 at New York’s Gotham Hall.
